Mission Statement

The primary mission of this website is to peel away centuries of encrustation that has infiltrated Islam's sacred belief and practice. The methodology employed to achieve this goal is to first understand the "moments" of revelation and the "nature" of the authentic Prophetic tradition. These are then re-interpreted within the context of this complex, contemporary global village, to provide clear guidance for all people in accordance with God's purpose "to make life easy and not difficult" for humankind.

Our primary goal is to serve the ummah (followers of Islam) at large, and therefore we reserve the right to revise questions that are personal in nature to serve our didactic aim. Of course we will do so in a manner that completely obscures the questioner's identity, and details of his / her situation. We are not in the business of offering private services, and we will not entertain subsequent questions about such details of the particular case from readers unless we determine that further elucidation is warranted. This website features a multiplicity of views, some of which may not reflect the opinion of the owner / webmaster, or be in congruence with other contributing scholars.
